Description

This song is about the rise and fall of a prolific pumpkin pie salesman. Neil spoke about writing this song in the album's commentary track:

"First thing I wrote before I came up with the idea of pumpkin pie was the first verse there. Then I had to think of something for him to be selling, and pumpkin pie fit and had enough things I could rhyme it with."

History

The song was originally released on July 19th, 2004. This early version is missing the accordion present in the album version. Neil states in the commentary track for Damn Skippy that he received this accordion as a birthday gift on his 18th birthday, which would not occur until August of 2004, explaining why the accordion is missing from the original version.
