Subtle Oddities is the tenth track on Damn Skippy. An early version of the song was released on June 15th, 2004.

In the album's commentary track, Neil implies that the meaning of the song is unclear and up to interpretation:

"I think this song is about a haunted house. Someone once said that it was about God. Sure, why not? That makes about as much sense."
