One Monster’s Search for Equality is a short film by Neil Cicierega, who also composed the music and co-starred as the Mayor, and Taylor Wetherbee, who also stars as the titular Monster.

Transcription

(Monster comes limping out of the woods)
Monster: HEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! HEEEEEEAAAAAAAAA!
(The Monster continues to stumble around screaming and making strange noises)
(A boy, looking out the window, sees the monster and runs)
(The Monster sneaks up behind a woman and taps her on the shoulder; she runs away screaming)
Monster: HE HE HE!
(Monster enters in and gives the Mayor a piece of paper)
(The Mayor reads over the paper entitled “Proposal 1313; EQUAL RIGHTS FOR MONSTERS”. He then takes out a marker and writes on the page, “DENIED”)
(The Monster, enraged by Neil’s decision, goes mad and starts to scream, then proceeds to kill the Mayor)
(Cuts to the Monster now living in a box, who gets a shoe thrown at him and starts to cry)
(The Mayor appears as an angel)
Mayor: I forgive you.
(Headline on the newspaper “MAYOR RETURNS FROM DEAD!”)
(Cuts to the Mayor who who writing on a piece of paper. He hold it up and it is “Proposal 1313; EQUAL RIGHTS FOR MONSTERS”, but this time it reads “OK!”)
(The Monster rejoices)
