Hip to the Javabean is Lemon Demon’s third album, and the first not to be released on MP3.com. Lemon Demon’s first two albums, out of print by the time of Javabean’s release, are included as MP3s on the data track. Emmy Cicierega drew the cover art.
This is the only Lemon Demon album with a ReadMe file, and the only album to have typographical errors in its bonus content (Switzerland and Roman Robot Statues). With bonus music included, Hip to the Javabean has almost three hours of music, making it the longest Lemon Demon album in that respect.
In April 2009, Neil offered this album for download.
