Needlejuice Records is the current record label for Lemon Demon, re-releasing his albums in physical format. It was founded by Jace McLain (of Nuclear Bubble Wrap), Brandon Brown and Austin Aeschliman (of Smashy Claw). They describe themselves as "an independent record label specializing in alternative, experimental, and 'internet' music."

Lemon Demon's biography on his Needlejuice store page:

Lemon Demon is the moniker for original music by web icon Neil Cicierega. As a teen at the dawn of the internet age, he was making a name for himself with innovative, diverse projects when the world was figuring out what to do with the new technology. His prolific work has spawned numerous viral touchstones, including Animutations, Potter Puppet Pals, and the acclaimed mashup albums Mouth Sounds, Mouth Silence, and Mouth Moods. Among these many projects, Lemon Demon has been Cicierega’s most consistent outlet. From lo-fi beginnings in 2003, the band scored hits with 2006’s “The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny” and 2010’s “BRODYQUEST.” Cicierega spent 8 years crafting Spirit Phone, his seventh full-length album.[1]

Spirit Phone

“Hooks so good I get a rush off ‘em”

– Anthony Fantano, The Needle Drop

Spirit Phone is a collection of 14 deviously catchy pop songs that lightheartedly explore such macabre topics as haunted mansions, confectionery cannibalism, Lovecraftian romance and 1980s economics. Bringing to mind the playfully ghoulish work of new wave acts like Oingo Boingo, the album presents its dark themes with mischievous relish. Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop included it in his Best of 2016 list with an 8/10 rating, praising its clever lyrics, high energy, and catchy songwriting.

Available now, Spirit Phone has been remastered by experimental sound guru Angel Hair Audio with new original art by Ming Doyle. Along with the 14 tracks that comprise the album proper, side 4 includes 6 bonus tracks. Download card contains full album, all 13 bonus tracks from the original release, and exclusive album commentary by Neil.

View-Monster

It’s July 18th, 2008. Life is simple. You’ve just watched The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny for the millionth time. You’ve been waiting years to hear the follow-up to Dinosaurchestra. When that album came out, you were a meme-lord in junior high. Now you have a year left before it’s time to go to college and become an adult, an event you try not to think about as you play rounds of Team Fortress 2 in your room. The download of View-Monster is almost done. You smile as you press play, ready to move on from the same stale animutations and flash videos. You don’t know it yet, but the next time you hear a new Lemon Demon album, you will be on your own, saddled with debt and the burden of great expectation in a world that is quickly falling apart. For now, life is good.

Dinosaurchestra

“Old Godzilla was hopping around Tokyo City like a big playground…” How many times have you and your friends watched that goofy little flash video since it came out in December? A few people on the internet have started calling it a “meme,” a science-y sounding term for an idea that infects the brain like a virus. It’s spread all over your junior high school like the world’s biggest inside joke, confounding your parents and teachers. But while the world is obsessed with ”The Ultimate Showdown,” you know that Lemon Demon- actually 20-year-old internet creator Neil Cicerega- is so much more than a soundtracker of funny animations. Curled up in your childhood bed, you let the sweet, mellow psychedelia of his latest album Dinosaurchestra wash over you. Neil’s music and lyrics are sensitive and introspective, and it’s hard to not see yourself in characters like the self-defeating musician “Indie Cindy” or the passionate protagonist of “This Hyper World.” Or maybe you’re one of the members of the titular dinosaurchestra, joyously rocking away as disaster looms in the sky. It feels like Neil really gets you, like the wise and funny older brother you wish you had. Needlejuice Records is proud to reissue Dinosaurchestra in its first physical release since 2006. Newly remastered by Angel Marcloid (Fire-Toolz), Dinosaurchestra is presented as a deluxe colored 2LP set featuring bonus tracks and a poster, a two-CD set with an entire disc of bonus material, and cassette. This release will delight Lemon Demon fans new and old, preserving this special period of Neil’s career for all to enjoy.

Damn Skippy

Before “The Ultimate Showdown,” there was Damn Skippy. Neil Cicierega created this album in between the hype of Animutation and The Ultimate Showdown.

EPs

Nature Tapes

From the Spirit Phones of fall to the I Am Become Christmases of winter, the seasons change as ever and bring a new Lemon Demon release from Needlejuice Records. The summer affords us all the opportunity to frolic in the splendor of nature. The beautiful sun, the chirping birds, and Neil Cicierega’s 2014 EP Nature Tapes. Containing such classics as BRODYQUEST, Two Trucks, Jaws, and Goosebumps*, this set of 8 catchy electro-pop songs showcases Neil’s signature blend of deft humor set to a memorable melody. *Goosebumps is being retroactively added to the official track listing because Neil forgot about it in 2014.

I Am Become Christmas

Hot off the metaphorical heels of our rousing Spirit Phone success, Needlejuice is delighted to bring you another Lemon Demon release. This time around we’re offering Neil’s 2012 Christmas EP I Am Become Christmas. Lightheartedly exploring such dark topics as a government-funded Santa Claus and seasonal affective disorder, this set of 5 spooky holiday songs hinted at the direction Neil was headed toward on Spirit Phone.

One Weird Tip/Funkytown

One Weird Tip and Funkytown are the newest Lemon Demon songs! Although they’ve been online before, this is their first physical release, and begin the next era of Neil Cicierega’s original music project. Artwork is by Icosahedron.

Something Glowing

There’s something glowing, and it’s this 7″ vinyl. This thing exists for the sole purpose of being able to listen to the song “Something Glowing” from View-Monster on an actual glow-in-the-dark record. You’re welcome, internet. Contains 4 bonus tracks not available on the vinyl edition of View-Monster. The Neon Red variant does not glow in the dark (though it might glow under a blacklight) and is available for those who prefer sound quality over aesthetics.

Acrobat Unstable Record

Featuring 6 bonus tracks not available on the Dinosaurchestra vinyl, this EP was curated by Indie Cindy herself and is held together by broken synthesizer keys, cassette tapes and burned CDs. Complete the Dinosaurchestra experience with this beautiful 7’’.
